For those of you who look forward to my travelogue pages, I’ve posted yet another one. This time from our trip to Socorro over the Christmas holiday. Either click the 2012 Socorro, NM link on my Travelogue page above or click here.
Wishing all my readers and their families a happy, healthy, blessed New Year!

Joyce, you’ve crated another lovely travelogue. What fun to see all those photos and read the comments about your trip.
I do wish you’d have been able to include a few photos from the inside of that Opera House. The description was wonderful. And the pencil fence was great, as was that shot of the old concrete, passing the test of time. And I must say, I think the concrete floors in your in-laws place are great! I must ask though, how is it that you sound surprised when you say that the pork was tasty? It’s pork, what else could it be?
Overall, it sounds like after the unpleasantness of the trip out, you had a fine time in New Mexico with Dan’s parents and brother.
Thanks for the making a travelogue of the trip!
I wish I could’ve seen the inside of the Opera House too. it looked like it was boarded up. My father-in-law said that when they first moved to Socorro they used to attend plays there but in recent years there haven’t been any events going on. He didn’t know why.
I sounded surprised that the pork was tasty because when I overcook pork it’s definitely not tasty. So, it surprised me that this could be overcooked and dry and yet still be appetizing. Probably has to do with the flavor added in the roasting process.
We did have a nice time. Glad you enjoyed the travelogue!
